Nestled in the rolling plains of southwest South Dakota, our small farm is built on a simple yet profound belief—raising animals and produce with love, care, and respect for nature. We started this journey not just to provide food but to create a deeper connection between people and the land. In a world where industrial farming has become the norm, we take a different approach, offering a more natural, humane alternative. Here, our animals roam freely, enjoying open pastures, fresh air, and the kind of life they were meant to live.
More than just a farm, we are part of a movement to restore integrity to food production. We believe that great food starts with great care, and we pour our hearts into every aspect of what we do. When you choose to buy from us, you’re not just purchasing meat or produce—you’re supporting ethical, sustainable farming and investing in the health of your family. This is our passion, our purpose, and our promise to you. Welcome to our farm, where quality, compassion, and convenience come together to redefine the way you experience farm-fresh food.
We understand that buying directly from a farm can feel overwhelming—where do you start, who can you trust, and how do you navigate the process? That’s where we come in. We’ve made it our mission to bridge the gap between farm and table by simplifying every step. From carefully raising our animals without confinement, growth hormones, or unnecessary antibiotics to handling all the logistics of processing and delivery, we ensure that you get the highest quality food without the hassle. Our transparency is our promise—you’ll always know exactly where your food comes from and how it was raised.
We typically make scheduled deliveries to central meet up locations. This allows us to be efficient and not charge for delivery. Now, we have been known to make exceptions so give us a holler and we’ll see what we can do for you!
Absolutely! We scale our operation to provide the best quality and try to meet our customer demand. You may find something not in stock and often times we keep a waiting list. This helps us accommodate changes and allows us to help scale to future needs.
Quite possibly! We have nothing to hide and believe in giving you transparent information. That said, some of our animals are quite large and we are not running a petting zoo. We encourage you to follow us on social media to see how we run our farm and to meet our animals.
But if you still would like to visit, just reach out and we’ll see if we can accommodate you!
What an excellent question! First off, we feel that all of our products are competitively priced for the value you receive. It may seem expensive to purchase an entire beef (several thousand dollars) but keep in mind that this price is spread across all of the products. You may pay a bit more for your hamburger but you are getting a much cheaper (and higher quality) steak price! Oh…. and we also take care of transporting the live animal to the processor, picking it up, and delivering it to your area…. all at no additional charge!
Also know that often times, large meat producers purchase “trimmings” from other countries to make their ground products. This means your “cheaper” hamburger could have dozens or even hundreds of parts from different animals. Purchasing an entire animal from any local farmer (like we offer) ensures you receive product ONLY from that animal.
If price is an issue, we can help arrange half and sometimes quarter shares. Just let us know what you need and we’ll do our best to make it easy for you!
We get this one a lot. When you reserve meat from our farm, we will contact you directly. It doesn’t matter if this is your first time or if you are one of our regular customers.
We’ll help you through the process like steak thickness, bone-in or bone-out, do you want bacon with that (you DO WANT BACON with that right 😉
When we schedule the processor for your order, we require a 50% deposit. Once we schedule delivery with you, we require the remainder of the balance. You will also receive the exact costs from our processor. We never mark up their services (that would be unfair to you!)
So, if you order a lot of bacon, sausage, hams, and other value-add products, your cost per pound might be higher than if you just ordered standard cuts of steaks and roasts.
But don’t worry, our goal is to make this as simple as possible for you so you can enjoy fresh from the farm products!
That all depends on how much product you are purchasing. For instance, a half hog will net you around 100 to 120 lbs of product. This easily fits into a small chest style deep freeze.
On the other end of the scale, a full beef can give you 800 or more pounds of product and can easily fill up an 18 cubic foot upright freezer.
We’ll talk you through this when you place your order so you can be prepared and you can certainly ask us any questions here.
